	Check
1	Raise front axle and set down on jack stands.	 The front wheels must move easily.
2	Check steering knuckle and steering joint for ease of movement.	 To check, turn front wheel to the left and right by hand.
		If problems occur,
		
		Repair steering knuckle or steering joint.
3	Remove jack stands and lower front wheels onto turn plates.	 Use turn plates with scale indication.
4	Correct tire inflation pressure.

5	Check wheel angle taking into account tire size and tire clearance.		AR40.20-G-0345B

7	Move wheels to straight-ahead position.

9	Remove boot (10) from support disk (11).	Only if a boot (10) is installed.
		 Only on model 437.46 The boot (10) is no longer required. If the boot (10) over universal joint (9) is present, completely remove boot (10) and dispose of it.
		 Only for model 437.42/43 Fix boot (10) onto steering shaft so that the universal joint (9) is easily accessible.
10	Check position of primary shaft (12) relative to steering gear (1).	 During the test, do not adjust straight-ahead position of wheels. Otherwise the result may be faulty.
		 The steering gear (1) must be in the center position. For this, the markings (A, B, C) must line up.
		 Model 437.467with steering RBL C 700 V The markings (C) form an imaginary line in the center above the cover (14).
		If the markings (A, B, C) line up,
		
		Continue with operation step 16.
		If the markings (A, B, C) do not line up,
		
		Adjust center steering position on steering gear (1), to do so, perform operation steps 11 to 19.

11	Remove drag link (2) from steering control arm.		AR46.40-G-0100CA
12	Check straight-ahead position of wheels.	If problems occur,
		
		Move wheels to straight-ahead position.
13	Align primary shaft (12) with marking on steering gear (1).	 The markings (A,_B, C) must line up.
		 Model 437.467with steering RBL C 700 V The markings (C) form an imaginary line in the center above the cover (14).
14	Adjust length of drag link (2) and attach to steering control arm.		AR46.40-G-0100CA
15	Check straight-ahead position of steering wheel.	 Correct straight-ahead position of steering wheel at the steering wheel or at the universal joint (9) of the steering shaft.
		If problems occur and the steering wheel is adjusted by shifting the steering wheel,
		
		Remove steering wheel and shift to move into straight-ahead position, then reinstall the steering wheel.

		If problems occur and the steering wheel is adjusted by shifting the universal joint (9),
		
		Remove universal joint (9), move steering wheel by turning the steering shaft into the straight-ahead position, and mount universal joint (9) again.
		 Insert universal joint (9) far enough onto primary shaft (12) to ensure that the fitted screw runs smoothly in the radial groove of the primary shaft (12). Otherwise the steering may malfunction.
		 Replace bolt and nut of universal joint (9).

16	Mount boot (10).	Only for model 437.42/43
17	Close hood.	Model 437.42/43/46
