Measure

Drive vehicle onto measuring station

Park vehicle on turntables

Move front wheels to straight-ahead position and set scales of turntables to "0"

Print out overview for steering angles



Turn steering wheel to left stop and note down value shown on turntable

Turn steering wheel to right stop and note down value shown on turntable

Assess noted down values

 Observe the overview of steering angles at the steering knuckle.

If the value is in the tolerance range:



Continue with operation step 13.

If the value is not in the tolerance range:



Perform operation steps for adjusting.

Adjust

Loosen jam nut (2) of steering stop bolt (1)

 Counterhold the steering stop bolt (1).

Adjust steering angle by screwing out or screwing in steering stop bolt (1) until specified value is obtained

 Observe the overview of steering angles at the steering knuckle as well as the clearance between the chassis and tires and the chassis and disk wheels.

Tighten jam nut (2) of steering stop bolt (1)

 The steering stop bolt (1) must not turn during this process.

Replace both adjustment screws of hydraulic steering limiter

Perform only if at least one of the steering stop bolts (1) was unscrewed.
