Remove

Use right multifunction lever to set retarder control to position "0".

Switch off ignition.

Remove soundproofing.

Remove rotor of permanent magnet retarder.

Attach retainer wrench (4) to adapter (1).

 Bolt, retainer wrench to flange adapter

Unscrew screw (2) and remove washer (3).

 Counterhold using  retainer wrench (4).

Remove retainer wrench (4) from adapter (1).

Screw screw (8) into transmission output shaft.

 Use suitable bolt (8).

Attach puller (7) to adapter (1) and detach transmission output flange (5) together with adapter (1) from transmission output shaft.

Remove screw (8) from transmission output shaft.

Unscrew screws (6) and remove adapter (1) from transmission output flange (5).

Only when replacing the adapter (1).



Install

Attach adapter (1) to transmission output flange (5).

Only when replacing the adapter (1).

 Do not tighten Screw/bolts (6) yet.

Attach adapter (1) with transmission output flange (5) to transmission output shaft.

 Do not tighten the screw (2) yet.

Attach retainer wrench (4) to adapter (1).

Tighten screws (6).
