3 | Remove step plate | Only applies to semitrailer/tractor combinations, except with models 375.4, 944. | |
4 | Disconnect electrical connector (1). | Installation: Check electrical connector (1) for damage and wear. | |
5 | Release compressed air from ancillary consumer circuit | ||
6 | Remove compressed-air line connector (2). | With compressed air connector system "VOSS 230". | |
With compressed air connector system "VOSS 232" (NG 8, 12) or "SCHÄFER SDF" (NG 6). | |||
Installation: Inspect O-ring, install new ring if necessary. | |||

7 | Take off bracket (3). | | |
8 | Remove retarder proportioning valve (Y44). | Installation: Install new O-rings (6) and grease slightly. | |

9 | Remove damping plate (4) and detach bracket (5). | Installation: Check damping plate (4) for cracks and replace if necessary. For coated damping plates (4), cracking or flaking of the paint coat does not impair function. Install new O-rings (7) and apply a light coating of grease. | |
