 	Remove/install
1	Lift/jack up vehicle		AR00.60-D-1000H
2	Remove wheel on rear axle		AR40.10-D-1100H
3	Loosen brake cables		AR42.20-D-0540H
		 To do so, loosen the nut at the relay lever until the brake cables are slack.
		 Installation: Adjust parking brake.
4	Remove bolts (17) and remove brake caliper (16) with brake caliper support	 Installation: Replace screws (17).
		 Fasten brake caliper (16) to the body using a suitable wire.
		 Bolt, brake caliper support to rear axle tube	*BA42.10-N-1001-12A
5	Remove brake disk (11)		AR42.10-D-0240H
6	Remove brake shoes (3, 14)		AR42.20-D-0530H
7	Unhook brake cable (8) from brake cable lock (9) and remove brake cable lock (9)	 Check brake cable lock (9) for condition and proper operation, and replace if necessary.
8	Pull brake cable (8) out of rear axle tube (2)
9	Remove bolts (1) from rear axle tube (2)	 Installation: Replace screw/bolts (1).
		 Bolt, rear axle shaft to axle tube flange	*BA35.20-N-1005-06C
10	Pull rear axle shaft (5) out of rear axle tube (2)	 Installation: Observe installation position of the oil deflector (18). The water drain channel (arrow) must face downwards. Otherwise the oil cannot drain off.
		 Installation: The faces on the rear axle shaft (5) and rear axle tube (2) must be dry, and free of corrosion and grease. Otherwise damage will occur.
		Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray	*BR00.45-Z-1046-04A
11	Remove brake cover plate (20)
12	Install in the reverse order
13	Spray sealing wax onto contact surface on right rear rpm sensor (L6/4) or left rear rpm sensor (L6/3)	 - Ensure that no spray mist gets onto the brake disk (11) and brake linings. Otherwise the functioning of the brake system will be impaired.
		 Cover the bore (19) during the spraying process.
