Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove

Remove left front axle shaft.

Remove dust cap (1).


Do not use any sharp-edged tool.
Otherwise, the front axle transmission housing may be damaged.



Check

3

Check left radial shaft sealing ring on front axle differential.

Notes on evaluating oil loss at major assemblies

If a leak or damage is present,



Replace front axle differential.

Clean

Clean seat and sealing area of dust cap (1).

Assembly cleaner

Check

5

Check seat and sealing area of dust cap (1) in front axle differential for damage.

If seat or sealing area are damaged,



Replace front axle differential.

Check bleed line (2).


Bleed line (2) may not be kinked or clogged.
Malfunction or damage can occur otherwise.

If bleed line (2) is kinked or clogged



Rectify cause or repair or replace bleed line (2).

 After obtaining special order.

Check version of breather on bleed line (2).

If the old breather version (see picture) is installed,



replace breather with new version.



Install

Grease dust cap (1) on sealing lip.

Antifriction paste, rubber parts 2.5 kg, DBL 6867.00

Install dust cap (1) using a suitable drift.

Install front axle shaft at left.

Check

Check oil level in front axle differential, correct, if necessary.



Check front axle differential for leak tightness.

 Visual inspection only.
