Only tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components when vehicle is in a ready-to-drive condition.

Remove front wheel



Press follower joint (8) out of steering knuckle (5)

 When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.

 In the process, secure steering knuckle to prevent it from tilting away. The brake hose and electrical feed cables must not be stretched.

Detach upper wishbone (6) from front end



Inspect follower joint (8).

 If necessary, replace the upper transverse control arm.
