Remove

Remove multidisk brake B2

Disassemble

Remove retaining ring (1) and end disk (2)

Remove clutch pack (3), external plate (4) and disk spring (5)



Check

Check clutch pack (3) and external plate (4) for scorch marks and wear

Depending on findings



Replace clutch pack (3) or external plate (4)

Place assembly device on disk spring (8) and tension until retaining ring (6) is exposed

Remove circlip (6)

 Pliers

Remove assembly device

Remove disk spring (8)

Remove guide ring (7) and piston (9)

 To do so, carefully use compressed air to blow into bore (B) of piston guide (11).

Disconnect piston guide (11) from external plate carrier B2 (10)

 To do so, carefully blow compressed air into the bore (A). The external plate carrier B2 (10) also serves as the piston for the multidisk brake B3.



Assemble

Assemble piston guide (11) and external plate carrier B2 (10)

 Replace sealing rings (10.1, 10.2, 11.1). With sealing rings (10.1, 11.1), the rounded edges must face outward.

 Bolt, multi-disk brake B2 to transmission housing

Install piston (9)

 Replace compression ring (9.1). The rounded off edges must point outwards.

Install guide ring (7)

Install disk spring (8)

 Observe installation position.

Place assembly device on disk spring (8) and tension until groove for retaining ring (6) is exposed

Install retaining ring (6).

Remove assembly device

Install disk spring (5), external plate (4) and clutch pack (3)

 Insert disk spring (5) in such a way that the curvature of the inner circumference points toward the piston (9).

Install end disk (2).

Install retaining ring (1)



Measure

Measure and adjust clearance
