1 | Check oil pipe (7) for unrestricted flow, clean if necessary | ||
2 | Install oil pipe (7) in housing (8) | ||
3 | Screw the screw plugs (26) with new sealing rings into housing (8) | ||
4 | Install ball bearing (24) in housing (8) using a suitable drift | ||
5 | Install ball bearing (11) in housing (8) using a suitable drift | ||
6 | Assemble (43) drive shaft | ||

7 | Install drive shaft (43) | | |
Heat the inner race of the ball bearing (24) to approx. 80 °C and install the drive shaft (43) using a suitable drift. | |||
8 | Attach circlip (23) to the drive shaft (43) | ||
9 | Heat up cylinder roller bearing inner race (4) to approx 80 °C and install until it abuts with output shaft (5 or 6) | Use a suitable drift. | |
10 | Determine thickness of shim (10) on the output shaft (6) | Only with power take-off 124-10c. | |

11 | Mount shim determined (10) on the output shaft (6) | Only with power take-off 124-10c. | |
12 | Install output shaft (5 or 6) | Heat inner race of ball bearing (11) to approx. 80 °C and install output shaft (5 or 6) using a suitable drift. | |
13 | Install circlip (12) on output shaft (6) | Only with power take-off 124-10c. | |
14 | Install new O-rings (28) into grooves of control plunger (27) | ||
15 | Push shift fork (35) to one side and install control plunger (27) | Coat control plunger (27) with lubricant. | |

16 | Insert new slide ring (31) and new sealing ring (32) in the grooves of the piston with shift rod (33) | ||
17 | Insert piston with shift rod (33) into shift cylinder with solenoid valve (29) | ||
18 | Install shift cylinder with solenoid valve (29) | ||
Replace seal (30). | |||
19 | Install power take-off 1 indicator switch (S23) | Indicator switch to shift housing | |
20 | Insert push spring (36) in shift fork (35) | ||
21 | Install bush (37) in the housing cover (2) | Drift | |
22 | Install cylindrical roller bearing (3) in the housing cover (2) using a suitable drift | ||
23 | Attach housing cover (2) | Clean sealing surfaces and coat with sealant. | |
