1 | Heat tapered roller bearing (7, 9) to approx. 80 °C and press all the way onto drive shaft (8) using suitable tube | ||
2 | Adjust axial play of drive shaft (8) | ||

3 | Insert shim (11) of determined thickness and install bearing outer race (10) in housing (25) using a suitable drift | ||
4 | Insert drive shaft (8) in the housing (25) | ||
5 | Install bearing outer race (6) | Heat housing (25) in area of bearing outer race (6) to approx. 80 °C and install bearing outer race (6) using a suitable drift. | |
6 | Install retaining ring (5) | ||
7 | Heat tapered roller bearing (19, 22) to approx. 80 °C and press all the way onto output shaft (20 or 21) using suitable tube | ||
8 | Adjust axial play of output shaft (20 or 21) | ||

9 | Insert shim (24) of determined thickness and install bearing outer race (23) in housing (25) using a suitable drift | ||
10 | Insert drive shaft (20 or 21) into housing (25) | ||
11 | Install bearing outer race (18) in housing (25) | Heat housing (25) to approx. 80 °C and install bearing outer race (18) with suitable drift. | |
12 | Install circlip (17) | ||
13 | Install shift fork (4) and sliding sleeve (1) | ||
14 | Install shift cylinder (15) | ||
15 | Install output flange and cover | Only with power take-off 121-2b. | |
16 | Install thrust piece (13) | ||
17 | Install power take-off 1 indicator switch (S23) with new sealing ring (12) | Indicator switch to shift housing | |
