Modification notes
16.10.06 | Installation: Install new hydraulic pump (A92m1) and new O-rings (8), in the process pay attention to correct seat of O-rings (8) in the hydraulic pump (A92m1) and the automatic gear control (AGS) hydraulic controller unit (A92), added. | Step 9
Switch on ignition, added. | Step 12 |
| Remove/install | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to hands or eyes when working on hydraulic pressure reservoir systems caused by hydraulic fluid to specification 345.0 spraying out under pressure | Depressurize hydraulic pressure reservoir system before commencing work on system. Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
1 | Depressurize pressure reservoir for automatic gear control (AGS) | Depressurization should preferably be carried out using STAR DIAGNOSIS as the system can be filled with a pressure of up to 90 bar and the manual depressurization represents an increased source of danger.
| |||
| Notes on hydraulic fluid as per Specification, Sheet 345.0 | ||
2 | Only loosen bolts (6) | Installation: Tighten bolts (6)
| |||
3 | Remove automatic gear control (AGS) control unit (A92a1)
4 | Unscrew bolts (4) and remove both brackets of battery lines
5 | Unscrew bolt (3). | ||
6 | Detach hydraulic line (2) from hydraulic pump (A92m1) | The chamfer on the unlocking fork (7) must point to the chamfer on the fitting on the hydraulic line (2).
Collect any escaping hydraulic oil in suitable container and dispose of in line with applicable regulations.
| |||
7 | Remove bolts (5) | | |
8 | Unscrew bolts (6) completely | Installation: Screw in bolts (6) only hand-tight.
9 | Remove hydraulic pump (A92m1) | To do this, loosen the hydraulic pump (A92m1) by pressing the connector plug (1). Press the automatic gear control (AGS) hydraulic controller unit (A92) carefully towards the frame and unscrew the hydraulic pump (A92m1) downwards to the side.
Installation: Install new hydraulic pump (A92m1) and new O-rings (8), in the process pay attention to the correct seat of the O-rings (8) in the hydraulic pump (A92m1) and the automatic gear control (AGS) hydraulic controller unit (A92).
10 | Install in the reverse order
11 | Fill oil container with hydraulic fluid | Only sheet 345.0 hydraulic fluid may be used as otherwise the hydraulic system may fail.
| Hydraulic fluids (Specification 345.0) | ||
12 | Switch on ignition | ||
13 | Check and correct hydraulic oil level |
