| Check | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to hands or eyes when working on hydraulic pressure reservoir systems caused by hydraulic fluid to specification 345.0 spraying out under pressure | Depressurize hydraulic pressure reservoir system before commencing work on system. Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
1 | Depressurize pressure reservoir for automatic gear control (AGS) | Depressurization should preferably be carried out using STAR DIAGNOSIS as the system can be filled with a pressure of up to 90 bar and the manual depressurization represents an increased source of danger.
| |||
| Notes on hydraulic fluid as per specification 345.0 | ||
2 | Check hydraulic fluid level and correct if necessary | Wait approx. 5 minutes before checking hydraulic fluid level in reservoir since hydraulic fluid as per sheet 345.0 froths during depressurization.
When system is unpressurized, the hydraulic fluid level must be between upper edge of reservoir weld seam (2) and lower edge of reservoir weld seam (3).
