1 | Open maintenance flap | ||
2 | Remove bolt (3) from expansion reservoir (2) | | |
3 | Remove inner paneling above pedal unit | ||
4 | Remove bearing pin (9) | Installation: Bearing pin (9). | |
5 | Unscrew bolts (8) and remove master cylinder (1) with expansion reservoir (2) forwards | If necessary separate cable ties on master cylinder (1). | |

6 | Drain expansion reservoir (2) | Collect brake fluid using a suitable container. | |
7 | Remove retainer (6) from master cylinder (1) | Installation: Install new retainer (6). | |
8 | Disconnect hydraulic line (7) from master cylinder (1) | In the event of sluggishness loosen the hydraulic line (7) on the metal piece with light rotary motions and pull out. Collect escaping brake fluid using a suitable container. | |
9 | Detach supply line (5) from expansion reservoir (2) | Collect escaping brake fluid using a suitable container. | |
Installation: Replace hose ties (4). | |||
10 | Detach retracting spring (11) | ||
11 | Detach expansion reservoir (2) from the master cylinder (1) with light rotary motions | Installation: The expansion reservoir (2) must latch in position in the rubber grommet of the master cylinder (1). | |
12 | Install in the reverse order | ||
