| Checking | ||
Danger! | Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue | Only pour AdBlue suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.
| Notes on use, material properties and handling of AdBlue® | ||
1 | Switch off ignition | ||
2 | Open maintenance flap
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within tilting range of cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt cab all the way to end position and secure with safety strut.
3 | Tilt cab | ||
| Notes on tilting the cab | ||
4 | Attach test connection (4) at compressed air inlet of metering device (3) | Only if no test connection (4) is installed. The test connection (4) can remain after checking in the vehicle.
5 | Connect up measuring hose (2) on pressure gauge (1) and test connection (4)
| |||
Danger! | Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running | Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
6 | Start engine | Allow engine to run until the working pressure is built up in the compressed air reservoirs.
7 | Check working pressure for a running engine | When engine is switched off, the metering device is rinsed with compressed air for a few minutes to prevent deposits from settling.
8 | Disconnect measuring hose (2) from pressure gauge (1) and test connection (4) | The test connection (4) can remain after checking in the vehicle.
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within tilting range of cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt cab all the way to end position and secure with safety strut.
9 | Lower cab | ||
| Notes on tilting the cab | ||
10 | Close maintenance flap |
