1 | Connect diagnostic system, start XENTRY and perform quick test. | Only if the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) is replaced. | |

3 | Tilt cab. | ||
4 | Remove noise encapsulation. | ||
5 | Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4). | ||
6 | Remove the screw (2) and disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4). | ||
7 | Expose the electrical wiring harness (4) on the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4). | ||
8 | Unclip the oil dipstick tube (5) from the bracket (6). | ||
9 | Unscrew screws (7). | ||
10 | Remove and take out the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) with the decoupling elements (8). | ||
11 | Remove the bracket (6) from the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4). | Only if the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) is replaced. | |

12 | Install the bracket (6) on the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4). | Only if a new engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) is installed. | |
Bolt, holder for oil suction tube/wiring harness to engine management (MCM) control unit | |||
13 | Install the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) with the decoupling elements (8). | Note the installation position of the decoupling elements (8). | |

15 | Clip the oil dipstick tube (5) onto bracket (6). | ||
16 | Fasten the electrical wiring harness (4) to the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4). | ||
