1 | Drain fuel tank (1) | ||
2 | Lift/jack up vehicle | ||
3 | Unlock fuel line (2) and remove from fuel line (4) | Collect fuel which runs out in a suitable container. | |
4 | Loosen screw clamp (7) and slide in direction of filler neck (9) | ||
5 | Support fuel tank (1) in center with telescopic lifter and transmission plate. | Transmission jack 0.5 t gotis://H_00.10_01.0 | |

6 | Remove tensioning straps (6) | | |
7 | Lower transmission jack with fuel tank (1) and remove hose (8) from fuel tank (1) | Aid of helper required. Lower transmission jack with fuel tank (1) only until vent line (10), purge line (3) and electrical connector (11) are accessible on fuel pump with fuel level sensor (M3/6). | |
8 | Expose purge line (3) and electrical line (5) and remove from fuel tank (1) | Purge line (3) and electrical line (5) remain in vehicle. | |
9 | Remove vent line (10) from fuel tank (1) | Vent line (10) remains in vehicle. | |
10 | Disconnect electrical connector (11) | ||
11 | Lower transmission jack with fuel tank (1) and suction off remaining fuel from fuel tank (1) | Fuel pump (for pumping from supply tank) gasoline / diesel gotis://D_47_02.0 | |
12 | M3/6 Remove existing fuel pump with fuel level sensor | Only when installing new fuel tank (1). | |
13 | Remove remaining fuel lines, fuel filter and vent lines | Only when installing new fuel tank (1). | |
14 | Install in the reverse order | ||
