Remove
1 Turn reverse idler shaft (10) with reverse gear counterclockwise (arrow) and pull upwards out of the transmission housing rear section.

Measuring
2 Measure length "A" of spring pin and compare with specified dimension (see Table).
In the event of a deviation, adjust specified dimension by displacing the spring pin.

Installation
3 Insert reverse idler shaft (10) with the spring pin in the bore of the transmission housing rear section and turn clockwise (arrow), until the reverse gear abuts the transmission main shaft.
Turn reverse idler shaft (10) so that the threaded holes align with the bores in the transmission housing front section.
