Separate connector for intake manifold pressure sensor (7)

Pull vacuum line (10) out of intake manifold (1)

Detach vacuum line (9) for brake booster from the intake manifold (1)

Quick-release fitting

Pull vacuum line (8) out of intake manifold (1)

Detach connectors from ECM control module (N3/18)

Unclip electrical wires for ECM control module (N3/18) from the intake module and set them aside

Expose the electrical wire to the injectors (Y62) and detach injector connectors (12)

Danger!

Risk of explosion if ignition takes place, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fuel vapors or swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to skin and eyes exposed to fuel.

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and properly marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Detach fuel line (15) from the fuel distributor (13) and plug with suitable stopper

Detach intake manifold support (5) from the intake manifold (1)

Detach bracket (20) for oil dipstick guide tube from intake manifold (1)

Unscrew torx bolts (18,19) from the intake module

Installation: Be careful of varying bolt lengths (1819) and brackets for purge valve.

Detach crankcase breather line (3) from the rear of the intake manifold (1)

Pull the intake manifold slightly forward for easier disassembly.

Remove intake module (16) from the cylinder head


Installation: Replace fitted rubber gaskets (17) (4 pieces).

Installation in reverse order
