No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Remove/install

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery

See information from vehicle manufacturer.

Release supply air from compressed-air system

See information from vehicle manufacturer.

Detach plug (1) from proportional valve (3)

Detach compressed air connector (2)

Unscrew nuts (6) and remove proportional valve (3)

Installation: Use new nuts (6).

Nut, proportional valve to damping plate

Unscrew screws (5) and remove damping plate (4)

Installation: Check damping plate (4) for damage and replace if necessary.
Use new screws (5) and new O-rings (7).

Bolt, damping plate to oil reservoir cover
