Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove cover over engine

Turn cap (2) on expansion reservoir (1) half a revolution counterclockwise, relieve overpressure and then unscrew cap (2)

Remove underfloor paneling

Drain off

Remove coolant hose (12) from coolant line (13), drain coolant and collect in a suitable container

Remove coolant hose (14) from coolant line (15), drain coolant and collect in a suitable container

Remove coolant hose (5) from coolant line (8), drain coolant and collect in a suitable container

Remove coolant hose (6) from coolant line (7), drain coolant and collect in a suitable container

Pour in

Attach coolant hose (6) to coolant line (7)

 Replace clamp.

Unscrew cap (3) from breather hose (4)

Fill cooling system via expansion reservoir (1)

 The coolant level in the expansion reservoir (1) must be at the upper marking.

Remove vent screw (10) by approx. 2 revolutions

 Wait until the coolant flows out from the connection fitting (11).

Unscrew cap (17) from breather connection (16)

 Wait until the coolant flows out from the breather connection (16).

Tighten vent screw (10).

Screw on cap (17)

Correct coolant level in expansion reservoir (1)

 The coolant level in the expansion reservoir (1) must be at the upper marking.

Seal expansion reservoir (1) with the cap (2)

Screw cap (3) onto breather hose (4) securely

Allow the engine to warm up until the cooler fan motor has switched on and then turn off

Repeat the venting process until there in no further air coming out of the connection fitting (11)

The venting process (operation steps 3 and 13 to 22) must be repeated at least once.
Otherwise it can lead to damage to the engine.

Repeat the venting process until there in no further air coming out of the connection fitting (11) and the breather connection (16)
