2 | Remove air filter housing | With engine 111.950 (MR7) and 111.980 (MR8), remove air filter housing with the hot film MAF sensor installed. | |
3 | Remove poly-V belt | ||

Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. | |
4 | Remove coolant thermostat housing | Replace sealing ring. | |
5 | Detach coolant hoses (11, 12 and 13) at the coolant pump (10) | Inspect condition of coolant hoses and hose clamps, replace if necessary. | |
7 mm socket hexagon on flexible shaft for hose clamps with worm drive | |||
6 | Unscrew bolts at belt pulley (15) and remove belt pulley (15) | ||

7 | Unscrew bolts (8) at bracket (5) and loosen bolt (6) | | |

8 | Remove coolant pump (10) | Pay attention to the bolt assignment. The bolts (2, 9) can only be removed with the coolant pump (10). | |
Installation: Clean the sealing surfaces. Coat the gasket (14) with sealant if necessary. Tighten bolts equally. | |||
