Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes from scalding from hot coolant which splashes out. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open the cooling system unless the coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and allow the pressure to release. Do not pour coolant into containers for drinks.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothes, and eye protection.

Adjust heater switch to maximum heat output

Unscrew cap (2) on expansion reservoir (1)

Replace cap (2) if corroded.

Check coolant level and correct if necessary.

Screw tester (3) onto expansion reservoir (1)

Pressurize cooling system to approx. 1.4 bar

All hoses of the cooling and heating system, radiator, coolant thermostat housing, coolant pump, oil / water heat exchanger and cylinder head gasket

If necessary retighten or replace hose clips after testing.
