For engines determined to exhibit sludging in the engine cooling system, in degradation phase 3 (3) and degradation phase 4 (4), a coolant filter (5) has to be retrofitted. See reference documentation for approvals.
A retrofitted coolant filter (5) has to be documented.
The maintenance interval for changing the filter element is available in the maintenance sheet.
