 	Remove/install
	When working on the refrigerant circuit, seal all openings with suitable caps in order to prevent unnecessary penetration by air humidity and dirt. All sealing rings must be replaced and moistened with compressor oil.
1	Discharge air conditioning system	 Installation: Refill air conditioning system and check for proper operation and check for leaks.	AR83.30-S-1760A
2	Remove radiator		AR20.20-S-3865D
3	Remove poly-V belt (10)		AR13.22-S-1202B
4	Remove bolts (1) from bracket (2)		*BA01.45-N-1001-01H
		 External torx set	*001589760900
5	Remove lower bolt (4) from refrigerant compressor (5)		*BA83.55-N-1005-01A
		 External torx set	*001589760900
6	Remove bolts (6, 7) of refrigerant lines (3, 8, 9) from refrigerant compressor (5)		*BA83.55-N-1002-01A
7	Remove refrigerant lines (3, 8, 9)	 Installation: Observe installation position of plate (12), high pressure lines (3, 9) and intermediate piece (11).
8	Seal openings of refrigerant compressor (5)	 Closing plate part no. 601 131 00 21
9	Disconnect refrigerant compressor clutch connector (Y38.1)
10	Remove bolts (4) of refrigerant compressor (5)		*BA83.55-N-1005-01A
		 External torx set	*001589760900
11	Pull off refrigerant compressor (5)	 Observe oil refill quantity when replacing refrigerant compressor (5).	*BF83.30-N-1002-01A
		 If refrigerant compressor (5) is replaced because of internal damage,
		Replace refrigerant lines and 	AR83.30-S-7800D
		replace expansion valve.	AR83.30-S-5520A
12	Replace fluid reservoir	 Whenever any work is carried out on the air conditioning system, the fluid reservoir must be replaced.	AR83.30-S-6520A
13	Install in the reverse order
	Checking
 Danger!	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury from bruises and burns if you place your hand into the engine when it is started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
14	Check air conditioning for proper operation	 Run engine at idling speed for about 4 minutes and check all the component functions which are of relevance for proper operation of the air conditioning system.
