Remove/install

Drain air conditioning system, then disconnect air conditioning service unit.

 Installation: Evacuate air conditioning system, refill it and check it for proper operation and leak tightness.

Lower and position rear drive module.

Slacken off poly-V-belt (9) and remove.

Remove bolt (6) and turn bracket (7) to one side.

Remove bolt (3) and remove refrigerant line (5) from refrigerant compressor (A9).



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Installation: Replace sealing ring and moisten with compressor oil.

 Bolt, low-pressure line to refrigerant compressor

Seal opening of refrigerant line (5) and refrigerant compressor (A9) using suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Remove bolt (10) and remove refrigerant line (11) from refrigerant compressor (A9).



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Installation: Replace sealing ring and moisten with compressor oil.

Seal opening of refrigerant line (11) and refrigerant compressor (A9) using suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Disconnect electrical connector (2) from refrigerant compressor (A9).

Remove bolts (1, 4, 8) and remove refrigerant compressor (A9) downwards.

 Secure A/C compressor (A9) to prevent it from falling down.
