Danger!

Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning from inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Installation: Evacuate, refill air conditioning and check for proper operation and tightness.

Remove poly-V-belt

Unscrew screw (3) and detach refrigerant line (1) from refrigerant compressor (A9)

Seal openings of refrigerant line (1) and at refrigerant compressor (A9) with suitable plugs.

Installation: Replace sealing ring at the refrigerant line (1).

Remove screw (4) and detach refrigerant line (2) from refrigerant compressor (A9)

Seal openings of refrigerant line (2) and at refrigerant compressor (A9) with suitable plugs.

Installation: Replace sealing ring at the refrigerant line (2).

Disconnect refrigerant compressor connector (A9x1)

Unscrew bolts (5) and take off refrigerant compressor (A9)

With engine 639.9, the spacer is also removed.

Install in the reverse order
