Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Do not perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Unscrew plugs from diagnostic sockets (1, 2)

Connect air conditioning service unit connection (3) to diagnostic socket (1) and air conditioning service unit connection (4) to diagnostic socket (2)



 All operation steps must be carried out in accordance with the operator's manual of the air conditioning service unit.

Suction off refrigerant

 Note down oil filling quantity that was suctioned off.

Evacuate

Install new desiccant cartridge

Only if refrigerant circuit has been opened.

Clean refrigerant and evacuate air conditioning system with air conditioning service unit

Filling

Replace the oil filling quantity noted down during evacuation of the air conditioning system with new compressor oil and route back to the refrigerant circuit


Ensure correct oil filling quantity.
Otherwise the refrigerant compressor may be damaged.

Fill air conditioning system with air conditioning service unit

Disconnect air conditioning service unit connection (4) from diagnostic socket (2) and air conditioning service unit connection (3) from diagnostic socket (1)

Screw on plugs of diagnostic sockets (1, 2)



Check

Using air conditioning leak detector, inspect air conditioning for leaks at all points at which the system was opened
