Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well-ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Remove/install

Drain air conditioning system

 Installation: Evacuate air conditioning system, refill it and check it for proper operation and leaktightness.

Remove front CBS

Undo front module

Unscrew nut (2) and pull refrigerant line (3) from condenser (1)

 Seal openings at refrigerant line (3) and at condenser (1) with suitable stop plugs.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings at refrigerant line (3).

Unscrew screw (4) and pull refrigerant line (5) from condenser (1)

 Seal openings at refrigerant line (5) and at condenser (1) with suitable stop plugs.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings at refrigerant line (5).

Unscrew screws (7) from radiator (6)

Carefully push radiator (6) inwards until screws (8) are accessible

Remove bracket (9)

Remove screws/bolts (8)

Remove condenser (1) upwards out of brackets (10) and carefully remove

 Pay attention to connecting cables to condenser (1).

Unscrew screw plug (11) from condenser (1)

 Installation: Replace sealing ring (13) of screw plug (11).

 Socket wrench bit

Pull filter dryer (12) out of condenser using suitable tool (1)

 Installation: Replace filter drier (12).

Install in the reverse order
