Bend back sheet metal lugs (1) on window at front and rear

 4 sheet metal lugs (1) are present.

 Danger !

Risk of injury caused by slipping when inserting blade in the multicutter and byglass splinters when cutting out bonded windows

Always interrupt air supply or power supply before inserting or removing blade.
Wear protective gloves and safety glasses

Cut out roof window with cutting blade

Remove roof window from glass roof with cup suction tools

Remove rubber seal (2) between rear window and roof window



Install

Prepare roof cutout for installing window

Allow primer to air-dry for min. 5 minutes.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the glue starts to decrease.

Prepare roof window for installing window

Insert window supports into roof cutout

If window supports are loose or missing.

Apply adhesive material

Install roof window within 5 min. after applying adhesive.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the glue starts to decrease.

 Height of glue bead approx. 13 mm.

Install roof window

Move vehicle only after adhesive has dried. Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
To ensure sufficient strength of the adhesive.

Bend sheet metal lugs (1) around adhesive flange


After bending sheet metal lugs (1), continue work only after adhesive has dried. Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
To ensure sufficient strength of the adhesive.

Coat rubber seal (2) with soapy water

Install rubber seal (2) between rear window and roof window after the adhesive has cured by using long wedge (3)
