1 | Remove left side paneling in trunk | ||
2 | Remove spring flap bolt (2) at bottom end of operating cable (1). | ||
Installation: Check adjustment of operating cable (1), correct if necessary. | |||
3 | Loosen nut (3) and unhook operating cable (1). | ||
4 | Disconnect electrical connector (4) from rear shelf antenna amplifier (A2/67) | ||
5 | Complete remove Vario roof rear shelf | ||
Danger! | Risk of fire and explosion caused by machining/treating magnesium components | Keep away from ignition sources and open flames. | |
6 | Unscrew bolt (5) and remove retaining plate (6). | | |

7 | Move compensating strips (10) in 90° position to rear shelf main flap (11) | For this purpose push shift rail (7) in direction of arrow and simultaneously fold in compensating strips (10). This provides sufficient space for removing spring flap bolt (8). | |
8 | Remove spring flap bolt (8) and remove operating cable (1) from rear shelf main flap (11) | Installation: The open side of the control cable mount (9) should be visible. | |
9 | Install in the reverse order |
