Removing

Remove left side paneling in trunk

Remove spring flap bolt (1) from clevis (2) of operating cable (5)

Loosen counternut (3) on clevis (2)

Adjust

Adjust clevis (2) until eye (arrow A) is flush with hole (arrow B) on operating cable drive (4)

Turn clevis (2) two turns to right and tighten counternut (3).

Move Vario roof approx. 5 cm below load assist position with Vario roof switch

Install

Insert spring flap bolt (1) into clevis (2) and secure

Slightly fold in/out compensating strips on Vario roof rear shelf to facilitate installation.

Replace damaged spring flap bolt (1)

Completely close Vario roof with Vario roof switch and check whether compensating strips locks on Vario roof rear shelf; repeat adjustment if necessary.

Install left side paneling in trunk
