Otherwise tension and damage can occur.

Mark position of lock striker (10) relative to C-pillar.

Remove screws (11) and remove lock striker (10).

If adjustment work is required via hinge leaves of B-pillar (6)

Expose seat belt, remove with connected electric lines and place to one side.

Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension.
This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.

 Do not disconnect electrical connectors.

Release nuts (4) and nuts (5) at B-pillar (6) alternately.


During the adjustment procedure, ensure that only nuts (4) or nuts (5) are released.
Otherwise, paint damage will occur if the rear door (1) makes contact with other component parts.

Adjust corresponding gap dimensions by moving rear door (1).

Tighten nuts (4, 5) on the B-pillar (6).

 Helper required.

If adjustment work is required via hinge leaves of rear door (1)

Release screw (12) and screw (13) at rear door (1) alternately.


During the adjustment procedure, ensure that only screw (12) or screw (13) is loosened.
Otherwise, paint damage will occur if the rear door (1) makes contact with other component parts.

By moving rear door (1), adjust transition of front door to rear door (1) and door position in a vertical direction.

 Front door contour must be aligned with rear door (1) contour or may protrude by max. 1 mm.
Helper required.

Tighten screw (12, 13) on the rear door (1).

 Helper required.

Install

Position lock striker (10) on the C-pillar and screw in screws (11) up to end stop.

 It must still be possible to adjust lock striker (10).

Adjust transition between rear door (1) and C-pillar by moving lock striker (10).

 Rear door (1) contour must be aligned with C-pillar contour or may protrude by max. 1 mm.

Tighten screws (11) of the lock striker (10) on the C-pillar.

Repair paint damage at bolt heads of screws (12, 13).

If adjustment operations were required above the hinge leaves of the rear door (1).
