Remove/install

Move front seat all the way forward and upward.

Disconnect ground line from on-board electrical system battery.

Remove B-pillar trim.

Remove screw from deflection to B-pillar.

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (3, 4, 5).

 The number of electrical connectors (3, 4, 5) varies depending on the vehicle equipment involved.

 Removal lever

Remove screw (6).

Remove screw (7).

 Bolt, front seat belt retractor

Remove reversible belt tensioner at front left (A76) or reversible belt tensioner at front right (A76/1).

 Installation: Make sure that the catch hooks (8) engage correctly.

Install in the reverse order.
