Open fuel filler flap and remove cap of the AdBlue® container.


Dirt must not be allowed to find its way into the EATS.
Otherwise, malfunctions and damage will occur in the exhaust aftertreatment system.

3.1

Remove a small amount of AdBlue® from the filler neck of the AdBlue® container using a pipette.

If the AdBlue® container is completely filled.



Suction off a small amount of AdBlue® from the AdBlue® tank.

If the AdBlue® container is not completely filled.

Apply one to two drops of AdBlue® to the prism (1) of the refractometer (5) and close hinged lid (2).


Only the prism (1) and the hinged lid (2) should come into contact with the AdBlue®.
Otherwise, AdBlue® will get into the refractometer (5) and make it unusable.

Read off the measurement value at the light/dark boundary on the AdBlue® scale (B).

If AdBlue® concentration is too low,



Replace AdBlue®.

Clean

Carefully remove AdBlue® from prism (1) and hinged lid (2).


Only the prism (1) and the hinged lid (2) should come into contact with the fluid.
Otherwise, fluid will get into the refractometer (5) and make it unusable.

 Only use water without any additive as a cleaning agent.



Install

7

Attach the cap of the AdBlue® container and close the fuel filler flap.
