Remove/install

1

Remove NOx sensor 2 downstream of SCR catalytic converter (B29/1).

AR14.40-S-2060E

 NOx sensor 2 downstream of SCR catalytic converter (B29/1) is not removed completely.

Remove temperature sensor upstream of SCR catalytic converter (B16/12).

 Temperature sensor upstream of SCR catalytic converter (B16/12) is not removed completely.

Remove exhaust gas temperature sensor downstream of SCR catalytic converter (5).

 Exhaust gas temperature sensor downstream of SCR catalytic converter (5) is not removed completely.

Remove soot particulate sensor downstream of SCR catalytic converter (7).

 Soot particulate sensor downstream of SCR catalytic converter (7) is not removed completely.

Remove clamp (2).

Exhaust clamp pliers

 Clamp, SCR catalytic converter to diesel particulate filter

Release clamp (4).

 Clamp, SCR catalytic converter to exhaust pipe

*BA14.40-N-1011-02L

Unhook elastomer bearings (3) from SCR catalytic converter (1) and remove SCR catalytic converter (1).

 Aid of helper required.



Check

Check clamp (2), clamp (4), and elastomer bearings (3) for damage.

If damage is present,



Replace appropriate parts.



Clean

Remove combustion and corrosion residue at connecting points.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Connect vehicle diagnosis system, read out fault memory and clear if necessary.


