 Warning

Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.

Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.

Remove engine with transmission.

Remove sensor unit of the temperature sensors from the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (1) and place to one side.

Remove differential pressure line (8) from the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (1).

 Installation: Replace snap clamps.

Seal differential pressure line (8) and opening in the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (1) with suitable stop plugs.

Remove NOx sensor control unit downstream of the SCR catalytic converter (N37/8) and place on the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (1) with exposed electric line.

 Secure NOx sensor control unit downstream of the SCR catalytic converter (N37/8) against falling down.

Remove NOx sensor control unit upstream of the SCR catalytic converter (N37/7) and place on the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (1) with exposed electric line.

 Secure NOx sensor control unit upstream of the SCR catalytic converter (N37/7) against falling down.

Remove exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) differential pressure sensor.

Remove clamp (2).

 Installation: Replace clamp (2).

Unscrew bolt (4).

 Installation: Replace screw (4).

Open clamp of the low pressure exhaust gas recirculation line (5) on the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (1) and remove.

 Installation: Replace clamp.

Remove screw/bolts (6).

Remove screws (7).

Remove exhaust gas aftertreatment unit(1).

 Installation: Replace seals.

Seal exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (1) and exhaust gas turbocharger (3) with protective covers.
