Remove tailpipe.

Remove rear muffler.

Remove temperature sensor (4) of gasoline particulate filter (6).

 The temperature sensor (4) and its control unit remain on the vehicle.

Remove pressure hoses (5) on pressure lines of gasoline particulate filter (6).

 Installation: Observe assignment of pressure hoses (5) based on length. Replace clamps.

Loosen clamp (2).

Unhook decoupling elements (3).

 Installation: Check decoupling elements (3) for damage.

replace damaged decoupling elements (3).

Remove center muffler (1).

The premufflers and the center muffler (1) form a unit.

 Model 448 with engine 274
The gasoline particulate filter (6) and the center muffler (1) form a unit.

Install in the reverse order.



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
