| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove lower steering shaft from steering column tube (1). | Model 907 | |
Lower steering shaft remains on the steering gear. | |||
2 | Remove steering column module. | ||
3 | Remove left defroster vent for the side window. | ||
4 | Release trim in center of instrument panel and remove with attached electric lines from working area. | ||
5 | Remove screws(9, 10). | ||
6 | Remove covers (7, 8). | ||
7.1 | Remove bolts (5). | Model 907 | |
Screw/nut, steering shaft bearing to firewall | |||
7.2 | Remove universal joint of steering column tube (1) from lower steering shaft bearing (4). | Model 910 | |
Do not remove lower steering shaft from steering shaft bearing (4) and do not remove the steering shaft bearing (4). | |||
8 | Remove bolts (2, 3) and remove steering column tube (1) from instrument panel support. | Bolt, steering column tube on steering shaft to instrument panel support | |
9 | Disconnect electrical connector from electric steering lock (6). | ||
10 | Remove steering column tube (1). | Route steering column tube (1) into vehicle interior. | |

11 | Install in the reverse order. |
