Remove

Detach brake caliper using suitable means and fasten to vehicle without tension.

If the elastomer bearing (2) of the camber strut is replaced.

Remove spring link.

If the elastomer bearing (2) of the spring link is replaced.

Remove tie rod.

If the elastomer bearing (2) of the tie rod is replaced.

Remove camber strut.

If the elastomer bearing (2) of the camber strut is replaced.

Fit tool assembly on wheel carrier (1) and elastomer bearing (2) and secure with suitable means to prevent it falling.

 The tool assembly consists of the threaded spindle (01) with thrust nut (02), the hollow-piston cylinder (003), the sleeve (03) and the thrust piece (04).

Press elastomer bearing (2) out of wheel carrier (1).

 Relieve the hollow-piston cylinder (003) via the hand pump several times. When doing so, readjust the threaded spindle (01) with thrust nut (02) and operate the hollow-piston cylinder (003) again.

Install

Fit tool assembly on wheel carrier (1), attach elastomer bearing (2) to threaded spindle (01) with thrust piece (04) and secure assembly with suitable means to prevent it falling.


Note chamfer on wheel carrier (1). When pressing in the elastomer bearing (2), position it on the chamfered side of the wheel carrier (1) and press into place.
The elastomer bearing (2) and, possibly, the wheel carrier (1) can otherwise be damaged.

 The tool assembly consists of the threaded spindle (01) with thrust nut (02), the hollow-piston cylinder (003) and the sleeve (03).

Press elastomer bearing (2) evenly into wheel carrier (1).

 Relieve the hollow-piston cylinder (003) via the hand pump several times. When doing so, readjust the threaded spindle (01) with thrust nut (02) and operate the hollow-piston cylinder (003) again.

 Check press-in dimension (A) between wheel carrier (1) and elastomer bearing (2) when pressing in.
