Remove fan shroud from cooler.

Remove propeller shaft from front axle differential (2).

Lower vehicle.

Raise engine with engine carry bracket carefully until the front axle differential (2) is accessible.

Raise vehicle.

Unscrew nuts (4, 6) at front axle differential (2) and remove screws.

Lift front axle differential (2) out of front axle carrier.


Ensure that the output flange on the left side is not pulled out too far (maximum 3 cm) from front axle differential (2) when lifting out front axle differential (2).
Otherwise, the sealing ring of the front axle differential (2) may be damaged.

 Only lift out front axle differential (2) until elastomer bearings (a, b) and bearing bushings (c, d) can be removed.

 Secure front axle differential (2) against damage and tipping over using a suitable mat.

Remove bearing bushings (c, d) at housing of front axle differential (2).
