Straightening operations are not permissible on front axle beams

Note, row 1

		 Testing and measurement is performed on the front axle beam with the front axle disassembled. Straightening and welding operations (in case of crack formation) are not permissible on front axle beams. If straightening or welding operations are necessary or the dimensions are outside the permissible tolerances, the front axle beam must be replaced.
	Checking
1	Check front axle beam for cracks, angular movement, bending and score marks on the contact surfaces of the steering knuckles	 Visual inspection without aids. If visible damage is noticeable or the existing score marks are deeper than permissible, the front axle beam must be replaced.
	Measure
2	Measure distances (A, B, C, E, F, H) on axle beam	 If the contact surfaces of the steering knuckles are worn in: 	*BE33.25-N-1001-02A
		Rework contact surfaces of steering knuckles with a file or appropriate machine.  Ensure that the upper and lower surfaces are exactly parallel and at right angles to the kingpin bore.
3	Measure diameter (D) for kingpin on axle beam	 If the kingpin bores are worn out, the front axle beam must be replaced.	*BE33.25-N-1002-02A
