Disassemble transmission.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring of drive shaft.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1) of axle shaft.


Do not damage sealing surface of transmission.
Leaks can occur otherwise.

Remove bearing race (2).

 The oil deflector under the bearing race (2) is destroyed here and must be replaced.

Assemble

Install new oil deflector (7).

Install bearing race (3) of long countershaft.

 Use tool "U" from  tool kit 700 589 02 63 00 and tool "Q" from  tool kit 700 589 07 63 00.

Install new oil deflector below bearing race (2).

Install bearing race (2).

 Use tool "B" from  tool kit 700 589 06 63 00 and tool "Q" from  tool kit 700 589 07 63 00.

Install radial shaft sealing ring (1) of axle shaft.

 To do so, install new radial shaft sealing ring (1) with supplied protective sleeve. The radial shaft sealing ring (1) must sit flush.

If necessary,



Correct installation position of radial shaft sealing ring (1).

Install radial shaft sealing ring of drive shaft.

Install new associated tapered roller bearing of differential.
