Remove needle bearing (2) in transmission housing rear section (1).

 To do so, remove brackets of  counter stay.

Remove bearing shells (3) in transmission housing rear section (1).

 Dispose of removed bearing shells (3).

Remove tapered roller bearings of bearing shells (3).

Assemble

Install new bearing shell (4) in transmission housing rear section (1).



 Heat up transmission housing rear section (1) to max. 100 °C.

Install new bearing shells (3) in transmission housing rear section (1).

Heat up transmission housing rear section (1) to max. 100 °C.

Install new tapered roller bearings of bearing shells (3).

Install new tapered roller bearing of bearing shell (4).

 Use a suitable thrust piece.
Inside diameter of the bearing surface: 50 mm
Outside diameter of contact surface: 58 mm

Install needle bearing (2) in transmission housing rear section (1).



FE manual transmission oil (specification 235.3)

 For this, apply light coating of oil to needle bearing (2) from outside.
Use tool "Q" from  tool kit.
