Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove underride guard

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Drain coolant

 Catch coolant.

Remove air filter

Remove the fan shroud (1).

Remove intercooler

Remove poly V-belt (3)

 Turn tensioning pulley in clockwise direction to slacken.

Remove guide pulley (4)

Detach coolant hoses (5, 6) at coolant pump (7)

 Inspect condition of coolant hoses (5, 6) and hose clamps, replace if necessary.

Remove coolant pump (7)

 Installation: Replace gasket (7b).

 In order to be able to unscrew bolt (7c), the belt pulley/vibration damper (8) must be turned so that its recess is positioned in the middle above the bolt.
