 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Print out "tank system, fuel cell, form event log," fill out, and attach to the vehicle somewhere clearly visible.



Slowly open high-temperature circuit expansion reservoir cap (5) and release overpressure.

Remove lower engine compartment paneling.

Remove center underfloor paneling.

Connect coolant drain hose to drain fitting (1) and open coolant drain valve (2).

Drain coolant and collect in a clean suitable container.

 Observe regulations to dispose of coolant.

Release stop plug (4) by pressing and remove from coolant line (3).

Drain coolant and collect in a clean suitable container.

 Observe regulations to dispose of coolant.

Connect coolant drain hose to drain valve (S) and open drain valve (S).

Drain coolant and collect in a clean suitable container.

 Observe regulations to dispose of coolant.

Filling

Plug stop plug (4) in coolant line (3).

 Stop plug (4) must engage audibly.

Remove coolant drain hose from drain fitting (1) and close coolant drain valve (2).

Remove coolant drain hose at drain valve (S) and close drain valve (S).

Add coolant and bleed engine cooling system.


