Remove/install

Remove fan unit.

Attach radiator guard plate.



Remove noise insulation (3).

Remove impact plate in front of poly-V-belt (5).

Remove bottom bracket of the impact plate.

Slacken poly-V-belt (5) and fix clamping device (4) in place with a suitable pin.

Remove the poly-V-belt (5).

 Installation:
Do not use belt wax or similar products.
Otherwise the poly-V-belt (5) will slip.

Check the poly-V-belt (5).

If problems exist,



Replace the poly-V-belt (5).



Check guide pulley (6) for damage, wear and soiling.

If problems exist,



Replace guide pulley (6).

Check clamping device (4) for damage, wear and soiling.

Replace clamping device (4).

Check alternator belt pulley for damage, wear, and soiling.

If problems exist,

replace alternator.

Check refrigerant compressor belt pulley for damage, wear, and soiling.

If problems exist,



Replace refrigerant compressor.

Check pump unit for coolant pump for damage, wear, and soiling.

If problems exist,



replace pump unit for coolant pump.

Install in the reverse order.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
