Remove/install

Disconnect the ground line for the on-board electrical system battery (G1).

Remove exhaust gas recirculation line from mixer housing.

Remove poly-V-belt.

Remove guide pulley (2).

 Bolt, guide pulley to oil filter (major assembly carrier)

Remove contact protection (3).

Remove electric line B+ (4) from alternator (G2).

 Nut, circuit B+ to alternator

Remove bolts_(7).

 Screw, alternator to major assembly carrier/oil filter

Remove coolant hose (5) from hold-down clamp (6), set aside, and pull alternator (G2) toward the front.

Release and disconnect electrical connector from alternator (G2) and remove alternator (G2).

Install in the reverse order.
