1 | Remove charge air hose (1) | ||
2 | Unplug plug of intake air temperature sensor (B17) | ||
3 | Remove charge air hose (2) | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |
4 | Detach coolant line at connections (3, 4) at charge air cooler (5) | ||
5 | Disconnect plug connector (6) | ||
6 | Remove intake hose of air cleaner | ||
7 | Unscrew nuts (7) of charge air cooler (5) | ||
8 | Remove charge air cooler (5) | Installation: The pins of the charge air cooler must be seated below in the rubber mounts. | |
9 | Clean hose clamp/connection points thoroughly | Charge air hoses may jump off during operation if the connection points are not clean. | |

10 | Install in the reverse order | ||
11 | Check engine coolant level in charge air cooler (5), fill up if necessary | ||

12 | Check leaktightness of charge air cooling circuit |
