Remove/install

Remove engine cover.

 Installation: Only install engine cover after the leak test.

Disconnect electrical connector (3).

Remove diesel particulate filter differential pressure sensor (4) from bracket and place to one side with lines connected.

 Nut, differential pressure sensor for diesel particulate filter to bracket

Remove noise insulation(5).

Disconnect electrical connection (6).

Expose electric line (7).

Unscrew union nut and remove exhaust gas temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (1) from diesel particulate filter (2).

Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths

 Installation: Coat thread of union nut of exhaust gas temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (1) with heat-resistant lubricating paste.

Read out and delete fault memory.



Perform engine test run and check diesel particulate filter (2) for leaks in area of exhaust gas temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (1).
