 To do this, remove the screw/bolts (5).

 For this purpose, remove bolts (4).

 Bolt, cover for fuel high-pressure pump to bracket

Remove high-pressure line to rail

Remove fuel lines (7) from fuel high-pressure pump (1)


Seal connections to fuel high-pressure pump (1) and fuel lines (7).
Fuel system can otherwise be contaminated.

Disconnect electrical connector (8)

Remove screw/bolts (2)

 Screw/bolt, high-pressure fuel pump to cylinder head

Remove fuel system high pressure pump (1)


Carefully remove fuel high-pressure pump (1) from cylinder head.
Cylinder head and/or fuel high-pressure pump (1) can otherwise be damaged.

 Installation: Replace seal.

Install in the reverse order



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
